Ayse Duran

Ayse Duran is a Senior Managing Director on FTI Consulting’s Business Transformation team. Ayse has more than 15 years of experience in strategy, large-scale transformations, data and AI. She has worked in a broad range of industries across the United States, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, primarily in financial services and industrials, and advises companies at the intersection of business transformation, data and AI, as well as regulation and compliance.

Ayse has extensive experience in strategy and business transformation and has advised board members and the C-suite in redefining business models, outlining go-to-market and international expansion strategies and executing high-stakes transformations to drive shareholder value and performance improvement.

Ayse also leads the FTI Women’s Initiative (“FTI WIN”) and Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging (“DIB”) efforts locally in Benelux.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Ayse held various positions at ING, Philips, Boston Consulting Group (“BCG”) and Bank of America. In these roles, she was a founding member of various new ventures, including the “Kickstart AI” initiative to promote the development and use of artificial intelligence in the Netherlands and BCG’s Center for Macroeconomics in New York.

Relevant Experience:

• Supported the design and effectiveness assessment of a global fintech’s compliance program, including Know Your Customer (“KYC”), transaction monitoring and sanctions, to help the firm resolve critical regulatory commitments and remediate compliance gaps
• Assessed the target operating model for the compliance and compliance operations functions of a global payments firm
• Led the global analytics strategy and the craftsmanship of analytics translation at a global bank; responsible for strategy definition and implementation, operating model, use case portfolio management, organization and partnerships in AI
• Supported a European real estate bank in setting up a “bad bank” as part of its restructuring efforts; developed the servicing framework between the core and bad bank, including drafting and pricing service level agreements, and prepared the bank’s business plan for communication with the European Union
• Set up and led the project management office, change management and performance tracking at an international steel producer as part of a five-year transformation and EBITDA improvement program; managed value creation across multiple production hubs in Europe and more than 15 business lines and functions
