About Katy
Katy Quintanilla has over 15 years of experience specializing in M&A services across the entire transaction lifecycle. She brings extensive experience in planning and leading acquisition integration and carve-outs, managing strategic enterprise transformation programs and helping clients build and sustain internal capabilities around M&A transactions and program management. Her experience spans various industries, including consumer products, retail, diversified industrials, energy, chemicals, and manufacturing.
Ms. Quintanilla has expertise with M&A transactions for both private equity and publicly traded companies. Her specialty includes diligence, standing up the Transaction Management Office (“TMO”) and supporting the Finance & Accounting (“F&A”)function. She helps her client identify risks early, creates the appropriate mitigation plans and facilitates cross-functional communication for successful transactions.
Ms. Quintanilla partners with clients to drive value across all stages and types of transactions, most notably through transaction planning and synergy capture.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Ms. Quintanilla supported GE’s integration of Lineage Power and was part of their Financial Management Program.
Relevant Experience:
- Drove the integration of a $6 billion healthy hydration company, delivering over $250M of synergies, with at least an additional $100M more identified over the next 24 months.
- Led the Integration Management Office for a $1.2BN retail services company to deliver $60M+ of back office and field service synergies
- Managed the divestiture of Fresco y Mas from Southeastern Grocers, while also supporting the sale of Southeastern Grocers to Aldi, delivering on time back-office separation and TSA standup.
- Redesigned the operating model of a ~$400M specialty chemicals acquisition, across core geographies, including US, EMEA, and APAC, impacting more than 2,000 employees
- Prepared Day 1 readiness plan and first 100-day finance integration roadmap with fully mapped key milestones and cross-functional dependencies for a $200M sporting goods company
