Zach Papas

Zach Papas specializes in corporate finance, restructuring and strategic advisory in the Power, Renewables & Energy Transition practice. Mr. Papas’ expertise includes liquidity forecasting, business plan forecasting and review, financial statement analysis, strategic and market analysis, stakeholder negotiations, operational analysis and operational and industry due diligence services to companies and creditors.

Mr. Papas has considerable experience in both company and creditor advisory, having advised numerous clients through distressed situations both in court and out of court. He also has experience providing clients with performance improvement and due diligence services.

Prior to FTI Consulting, Mr. Papas worked at Tenaska, where he held various roles in energy management, operations and risk management.

Relevant Experience:

• Served as financial advisor for distressed renewable projects in Texas
• Provided financial advisory for a distressed project-financed natural gas power plant in PJM
• Advised on financial matters for a project-financed natural gas portfolio in PJM
• Delivered strategic and financial advisory for a large independent system operator (“ISO”)
• Led performance improvement initiatives for an independent power producer
• Conducted commercial due diligence of California battery storage and behind-the-meter (“BtM”) solar markets for an engineering, procurement and construction (“EPC”) company
• Provided financial advisory for senior lenders of an EPC company
• Advised senior lenders of a large power technology and services company on financial matters
• Served as financial advisor for the unsecured creditors’ committee (“UCC”) of Brazos Electric
• Provided financial advisory for the UCC of Talen Energy
• Advised the UCC of Pacific Gas & Electric on financial matters
