Achieving $1M Court Restitution for Human Trafficking Survivors

After the U.S. Department of Justice established a $215 million restitution trust for trafficking survivors — legally recognized as victims under the Trafficking Victims Protection Act (“TVPA”) — whose exploitation was facilitated through a certain online platform, counsel for two survivors turned to FTI Consulting for expertise in forensic accounting and damages assessments. Our expert team worked on a pro bono basis to independently assess the financial impact of the trafficking and provide a comprehensive analysis to support restitution claims before a U.S. District Court.
Our Impact
