James Sitter has more than 20 years of experience in the energy and process sectors, with senior leadership roles held across operations, engineering and projects. James specializes in project delivery and Project Management Office (“PMO”) systems, including digital transformation of engineering and construction processes, project controls, project recovery and asset management. He has a focus on continuous improvement, troubleshooting and developing high-performing teams that effectively manage change.
James is a versatile professional with expertise across the lifecycle management of assets. His direct experience spans project development, engineering design, supply chain management, fabrication and construction. Additionally, he focuses on commissioning, operations handover, operations, maintenance and decommissioning. James has managed high levels of organizational change associated with establishing and restructuring PMO teams, executing project recoveries and executing M&A activities. This includes the creation and implementation of corporate processes for project delivery, such as project development, funding approvals, project management, project controls, engineering design and assurance.
In addition to managing project delivery teams, James has overseen the development and management of supporting project service functions, including risk quantification, cost forecasting, integrated portfolio planning, budget and capital expenditures (“CAPEX”) management, corporate reporting and supply chain teams.
James is experienced in the design, fabrication, offsite pre-commissioning and cost optimization of packaged equipment for structural systems, including skids, jackets, subsea protection structures and modules, as well as piping, process, electrical and control systems. He has served as the project director for multiple project delivery teams, with combined PMO sizes up to 150, including execution of remote onshore and offshore construction activities, subsea systems, chemical processing plants and infrastructure developments.
James has been involved in full-cycle supply chain team management, inclusive of procurement for specialist studies, engineering services, packaged equipment fabrication, transportation and construction. Additionally, he is experienced in extensive tendering, contract management and relationship management experience for engineering and construction contractors and subcontractors.
