Carlos Araujo, Jr.

Carlos Araujo Jr. is a cybersecurity specialist with more than 15 years’ experience developing and participating in projects for companies across various sectors and situations. Carlos is a Senior Director in FTI Consulting’s Cybersecurity practice, bringing extensive knowledge of cyber governance, cyber risk assessment and compliance, maturity assessments, third-party risk management and data privacy to his clients.

Carlos supports clients in cybercrime prevention and resilience projects by evaluating strategic information security programs; drawing up risk mitigation action plans; mapping cyber, regulatory and third-party risks; and leading data privacy projects. He has extensive experience in the main market frameworks, such as the ISO27000 family, NIST and CIS, as well as knowledge of the main regulations involving information security, such as LGPD, GDPR, BACEN, SUSEP, ANS and PCI-DSS.

Before joining FTI Consulting, Carlos worked as Head of Information Security at Mutant, where he led the preparation and execution of an information security master plan focused on the continuous and structured raising of the maturity level and the building of internal and external strategic partnerships. He also worked as a Cybersecurity Manager at ICTS Protiviti, prospecting and delivering vulnerability analyses and remediation projects, mapping third-party risks and advising on data privacy.
