Enrique Baranda

Enrique Baranda is a Managing Director in FTI Consulting’s Business Transformation practice in Spain and leads the Procurement function across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Enrique has more than 20 years of consulting experience, helping corporate and private equity clients improve operational performance through transformation, procurement and cost management programs.

Throughout Enrique’s career, he has been responsible for designing and implementing multiyear transformational and cross-functional programs within the energy, infrastructure, industrial and healthcare sectors for PE-owned companies and multinational corporations.

In terms of functional expertise, Enrique has led several operational transformation, operational due diligence, performance improvement, value creation and efficiency projects across several industries. His sectoral experience includes advising clients across energy, metals, mining, industrial products, retail, chemicals and consumer goods.

Throughout his engagements, Enrique has helped his clients achieve significant impact and savings across multiple cost categories, including direct and indirect third-party spend, personnel costs, selling, general and administrative expenses (“SG&A”) and operations. He has also delivered improvements in working capital and inventory reduction, while supporting operating model enhancements across functions such as procurement, logistics, distribution and operations for a range of industrial clients.

Enrique holds an M.B.A. from IESE Business School in Barcelona and the Yale School of Management, as well as an M.Sc. in industrial engineering from ICAI Madrid and HEI in Lille, France. Prior to joining FTI Consulting, he was a partner at EY-Parthenon, the strategy consulting division of EY. He also held roles at Kearney, where he was a core member of the Operations team, and at Roland Berger. Enrique is fluent in Spanish and English.

Relevant Experience:

• Led cost-reduction programs for corporate and PE-backed businesses across healthcare services, environmental services and industrials, combining cost improvement with implementation and sustained operational change
• Led procurement and supply chain improvement engagements across industrials and healthcare, including direct and indirect spend optimization and inventory management
• Contributed operational expertise to complex restructuring and interim management engagements across steel, infrastructure services and pharmaceuticals, working alongside restructuring teams
• Supported international operational due diligence engagements for leading global private equity firms, assessing cost optimization and procurement improvement potential and identifying value creation opportunities
• Designed operating model improvements and cost management frameworks across procurement, logistics and operations, strengthening accountability, budget control and execution
