Philipp Oemler

Philipp Oemler is Senior Managing Director and has more than 15 years of experience in performance improvement, business transformation and restructuring. He advises corporations and private equity firms on commercial, organizational and operational excellence, with a strong focus on cost optimization and full-potential value creation.

His work centers on rapidly identifying growth, profitability and competitiveness opportunities and designing and delivering impactful transformation programs. Typical results include significant EBITDA improvements and sustainable reductions in operating costs through adjustments to operating models, organizational structures and ways of working.

Philipp has extensive cross-industry experience, particularly in the industrial goods, software development, mechanical and plant engineering, manufacturing and logistics.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Philipp was a Manager in the Business Recovery Services practice at one of the leading international professional services firms in Frankfurt. Before that, he spent five years in the transportation and logistics industry, where he held roles in fleet management, logistics design, sales and led the turnaround of the Czech subsidiary.

Philipp has lived and worked in Germany, the Czech Republic and the United States. He is a native German speaker and fluent in English.

Relevant Experience:

• Conducted strategic, commercial, organizational and operational assessments in turnaround situations to design and implement business transformation programs that sustainably restore competitiveness.
• Led more than 20 rapid assessments and transformation programs for corporate clients, primarily in the manufacturing and engineering sectors (growth and cost transformations; assessment, design and implementation).
• Directed the global engineering target operating model redesign and the operational transformation (engineering and manufacturing footprint) of an industrial goods company, increasing profitability, reducing the cost base and strengthening competitive positioning.
