Vartul Burad

Vartul Burad is a Chartered Accountant specializing in transfer pricing (“TP”) and international and corporate tax matters with a strong focus on supporting multinational groups operating across the Middle East and other global markets. Vartul has worked closely with multinational enterprises, government entities and large regional groups across sectors such as logistics, technology, manufacturing, automotive, consumer products and real estate.

Vartul has led large-scale cross-border TP and international tax engagements, including the design and implementation of defensible TP policies, value chain alignment and operating model transformation initiatives. He has extensive experience in developing robust TP governance frameworks, supporting the preparation and review of Master File, Local File and Country-by-Country Reporting (“CbCR”) requirements and advising on TP planning, controversy management and dispute resolution strategies across multiple jurisdictions.

Vartul regularly advises multinational groups on aligning their value chains, intercompany pricing arrangements and business structures with evolving regulatory, commercial and OECD-aligned requirements, while ensuring sustainable and compliant tax outcomes.

Relevant Experience:

• Developed and led large-scale TP transformation initiatives, including value chain restructuring, TP model design and implementation of globally aligned intercompany pricing frameworks for multinational and regional groups
• Led multijurisdictional TP risk and controversy management engagements, including restructuring support, documentation oversight and dispute mitigation strategies across India and the Middle East and North Africa regions
• Directed the development and implementation of global TP documentation and governance frameworks, establishing standardized policies, intercompany agreements and monitoring mechanisms to enhance compliance, improve audit readiness and reduce transfer pricing risk exposure across multiple jurisdictions
• Advised Federal Tax Authority on policy and legislative design and implementation, including development of economic substance frameworks, audit methodologies and compliance operating models aligned with global best practices
