Naishadh Soneta

Naishadh Soneta is a chartered accountant with more than 15 years of experience in indirect tax, advising multinational and domestic groups across multiple jurisdictions. Naishadh has worked with leading professional services firms, including EY and PwC in India and PwC in the Middle East, where he built deep expertise across complex indirect tax regimes.

Naishadh advises clients on a broad range of matters, including end-to-end Goods and Services Tax (“GST”) and Value-Added Tax (“VAT”) transitions and implementations, development of indirect tax strategies and optimization frameworks, as well as tax advisory, diagnostic reviews and indirect tax due diligence, with a strong focus on embedding tax requirements into finance, enterprise resource planning (“ERP”) and transactional systems.

Over the past eight years, Naishadh has focused extensively on VAT and e-invoicing across the GCC. He has led and managed VAT implementation and post-implementation engagements for major organizations in sectors such as real estate, energy, education, retail, automotive, logistics and healthcare. In addition, he has assisted clients with e-invoicing implementation in Saudi Arabia and is now actively supporting organizations in their UAE e-invoicing journeys — working closely with finance, tax and IT stakeholders to support system configuration, data readiness, controls design and ongoing compliance.

Earlier in his career, Naishadh advised multinational companies on a wide range of Indian indirect taxes, including GST, Customs, Foreign Trade Policy, Excise, Service Tax and State VAT. He also played a key role in the development of tax technology solutions, acting as the tax and functional lead for PwC’s in-house GST compliance platform. In this role, he supported solution design, user acceptance testing, training and deployment, helping clients leverage technology to drive accuracy, efficiency and scalable compliance.
