Kevin Hewitt is the Chairman of FTI Consulting’s EMEA region. He had previously been the head of its EMEA Corporate Finance practice. He is based in London.
Throughout Kevin's twenty-seven year career, Kevin has provided refinancing and restructuring advice across a wide range of businesses and industries, including financial services, retail, technology, healthcare, manufacturing and energy.
Kevin has advised lenders, corporates, and private equity sponsors in a variety of engagements. These include a U.K. gas turbine power station; a DEK 1.5 billion global manufacturer of wind turbines; a $900 million structured life reinsurance business; a £5 billion quoted retail group; a £2.4 billion quoted global electronics and precious metals group; a CHF 1.6 billion global epoxy resin manufacturer; and a £10 billion conglomerate in food retail, pharmacy, funeral care and banking.
Prior to establishing FTI Consulting’s London Corporate Finance practice in 2007, Kevin spent nine years as a restructuring partner at Ernst & Young, where he was responsible for a team of restructuring professionals who provided high quality advice to bank creditors, private equity and executive management teams in complex financial restructuring and refinancing assignments. Before being admitted to the Ernst & Young partnership, he spent 10 years undertaking a variety of restructuring and insolvency assignments, including a two year secondment to HSBC’s work out department in London.
Kevin is a board member of the Managing Partners' Forum, a founder member of the Institute for Turnaround and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
