Gregory Wills

Gregory Wills is the Chief Information Officer for FTI Consulting and is based in the Annapolis Corporate office. Mr. Wills has over 23 years professional experience in the management, design, implementation, and security of complex information technology systems and is certified as a Professional Information Systems Auditor (CISA) by the Information Systems Audit and Control Association.

Since joining FTI Consulting in 1999 Mr. Wills has built an information technology foundation that has enhanced FTI Consulting's capability to provide "best in class" service to their Clients, improved their internal operations, and strategically supported the expansion of their business both organically and through the continuation of mergers and acquisitions. Firm-wide IT efforts have supported growth in revenues to over $1B, a global footprint with offices in all the major business centers of the world, and a staff of more than 3000 highly mobile professionals and support personnel, while driving down the IT cost per employee at a compound annual growth rate of -8% from 2005 thru 2008.

Mr. Wills continues responsibility for directing all Corporate Information Technology policy, programs and projects, and their supporting budgets. He heads up all IT related due diligence and acquisition integration activities and has implemented, and continues to maintain, an IT governance framework that successfully responds to the demands of a rapidly expanding firm, and to regulatory requirements such as Sarbanes-Oxley. Mr. Wills has worked along side FTI Consulting's Client Service professionals on various matters related to technology audit, evaluation, assessment and project management for FTI Consulting Clients.

Mr. Wills has also been instrumental in assisting the FTI Technology focused, Client Service Practices in managing the growth of their systems infrastructure to keep pace with Client demand. He has engineering and management experience in the technology disciplines of Telecommunications, Data Communications, Application Servers and Storage, Messaging Systems, Web Database Development, Conferencing Networks, Systems Security, Data Center Management, and Application Hosting over the Internet.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Wills was the Director of Information Management at the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC. There he was responsible for technology initiatives enhancing the ability of Elected Members of the House to broaden the reach and influence of Freedom and Democracy in the World. These initiatives included technology systems and networks that serviced the 12,000 House staff and 15,000 computers across the United States. He was a key advisor to Members of Congress, Committees, Leadership Offices and the House Inspector General on issues related to Information Systems Program Management, and Audit and Control policies and practices. He was an active member of the Administrative and Technology Services Strategic Planning Team that created and managed the annual $60M business plans for the Chief Administrative Officer of the House.

Prior to joining the House of Representatives, Mr. Wills spent over 4 years with Electronic Data Systems as a professional services consulting engineer specializing in manufacturing plant automation systems for General Motors, and in military systems management for the Federal Government. He successfully completed his certification as a Systems Engineering Consultant enhancing his ability to assist Clients with improvements to their IT systems infrastructure, management and security programs.

Mr. Wills has a Bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland in Information Systems Management with a minor in Economics and he continues to maintain his status as a Certified Information Systems Auditor.
