Lisa Rickelton has more than 25 years of insolvency and restructuring experience in the UK and cross-border. Lisa specialises in contingency planning, insolvency solutions and independent expert evidence for Restructuring Plans and Schemes of Arrangement. Her experience includes many cross-border situations such as centre of main interest (“COMI”) shift administrations, offshore appointments, insolvency appointments over UK holding companies of international groups and use of international insolvency frameworks to achieve a solution.
Lisa is a market leader in providing expert evidence to courts in restructuring processes and has been cross-examined on multiple occasions. Her work includes leading Entity Priority Model (“EPM”) analysis in respect of complex international groups to analyse outcomes from counterfactual scenarios. Lisa’s appointment taking experience spans a wide range of processes including trading administrations, pre-packaged sales, receiver appointments over shares and other assets, company voluntary arrangement (“CVA”) nominee and supervisor roles and liquidations. She seeks to use insolvency processes as a tool to achieve value maximising outcomes. She undertakes contingency planning and insolvency outcome analysis to assist in achieving solutions which preserves value.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting in 2008, Lisa worked within the restructuring teams at EY and Andersen.
Lisa is a Chartered Accountant, a Fellow of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals and a licensed UK Insolvency Practitioner. She has also taken Cayman and BVI appointments and is registered as an insolvency practitioner with the Dubai International Finance Centre (“DIFC”).
Lisa has also been recognised as an Exceptional Expert in Restructuring & Insolvency by The Financier publication, is recommended by Lexology (WWL) and has been awarded an expert witness certification by Cardiff University Bond Solon.

- Relevant alternative expert evidence in the restructuring plans including Waldorf Production, Sino-Ocean, Project Lietzenburger (Aggregate), Adler and ED&F Man
- Comparator evidence in respect of multiple Schemes of Arrangement including HSE24, Light S.A., Praesidiad and PlusServer
- Expert reports and fairness opinions for security agents in relation to share pledge enforcements and distressed disposals under ICAs
- Advised lenders in relation to restructurings, contingency planning and insolvency proceedings including in respect of Yunlin, GateGroup, DeepOcean, IHC, Vroon and Azzurri
- Appointed administrator, liquidator, CVA supervisor or receiver on numerous UK and cross-border insolvency matters, including Lumira, Polarcus, Avanti, Noble, Elder Homes, Iona Energy and Globo plc.
- Advised numerous corporates in relation to contingency planning, options analysis, solvent liquidation planning and implemented solvent liquidations
