FTI Consulting worked together with a Silicon Valley technology company to develop a web-based geospatial modelling application that allowed users to run machine learning algorithms and better understand supply and demand for electric vehicle infrastructure.
Our Impact
- FTI Consulting’s automated model-running solution provides real-time data on the effects of driving habits, weather and road condition, allowing adjustment of electric vehicle infrastructure deployment.
- Geospatial modeling application enabled users to generate scenarios combining up to 15 energy-related parameters to optimize supply and demand.
- The solution provides data to adjust technical specifications for recharging, deployment of electric vehicle infrastructure and provides insight on the driving habits of electric vehicle owners.
Our Role
- FTI Consulting assembled a team of both data science professionals and software solutions experts to develop an automated model running solution with a secure user interface.
- The solution was developed as a self-contained package with appropriate security protocols to enable seamless transition to the client's environment.
- After fully deploying the solution, FTI Consulting hosted it for an extended period to facilitate user adoption during the internal deployment process.
