Arne Koeppel

Arne Koeppel is a Managing Director in the Strategic Communications segment with a long history of working successfully in a wide range of sectors and holds strong expertise in the raw materials and transport sectors and the related policy challenges.

Arne has extensive experience in planning and managing public affairs programs, implementing campaigns, managing perception studies, organizing events and conducting in-depth intelligence gathering, monitoring and analysis.

Having been with the firm since 2009, Arne supports clients from the transport, energy and raw materials sectors, focusing on policies relating to sustainability, climate change and international trade.

Arne is a German-qualified lawyer with an LL.M. in international trade law from the University of Edinburgh.

Relevant Experience:

• Carried out a campaign that led to abolishing anti-dumping duties on potash imports from Belarus
• Helped a group of international mining companies set up a platform on responsible mining with non-governmental organizations (“NGOs”) and international organizations, supported by the European Commission
• Advised a large U.S. car manufacturer in navigating the EU policy and regulatory environment in anticipation of its electric vehicle (“EV”) model launch in the European market; responsible for coordinating a team to monitor, analyze and engage on issues related to the electrification of transport, data, chemicals and trade
• Supported a group of international mining companies in positioning themselves in the EU policy environment, focusing on sustainability and industrial policy
