Benedikt Koob

Benedikt Koob is a Managing Director in FTI Consulting’s Economic & Financial Consulting segment. Benedikt has extensive experience in business valuation across national and international engagements within the financial services sector. His core expertise lies in the analysis and assessment of complex valuation issues arising in the context of transactions, intra-group reorganizations, contentious matters and corporate law–driven valuation events.

In the field of business valuation, Benedikt advises clients particularly on acquisition and divestiture transactions, structural measures and the determination of appropriate enterprise and equity values. In doing so, he combines in-depth valuation and accounting expertise with a strong understanding of economic, regulatory and strategic considerations.

Benedikt’s industry focus is on the valuation of companies and individual assets in the financial services sector, including insurance, asset management, leasing, services and fintech companies, as well as banks. Drawing on many years of project experience, Benedikt supports clients in complex decision-making, negotiation and dispute situations.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, he held senior positions in valuation at an international audit and advisory firm for several years. Before that, he gained extensive experience in audit services, particularly in the audit of annual and consolidated financial statements under German GAAP, codified in the Handelsgesetzbuch, and the International Financial Reporting Standards, as well as in the review of business and equity valuations.

In 2017, Benedikt passed the German public auditor examination (Wirtschaftsprüferexamen) and subsequently completed an M.Sc. in Accounting and Taxation at the University of Mannheim. He holds a B.Sc. in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting and Finance from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich.
