Brian Kennedy

Brian Kennedy is Senior Managing Director and Head of the Americas for FTI Consulting’s Strategic Communications segment, where he oversees a multidisciplinary team across the United States and Latin America.

A trusted advisor to boards and management teams navigating high-stakes challenges and complex reputation threats, Mr. Kennedy has provided strategic counsel to industry-leading companies across the agribusiness, chemical, energy, industrial and retail sectors throughout his tenure at FTI Consulting. He has helped some of the world’s largest corporations successfully navigate and resolve high-profile crisis and litigation matters, federal and congressional investigations and must-win legislative, regulatory and activist challenges.

As head of the Americas business, Mr. Kennedy leads a team of nearly 400 professionals with expertise across crisis, financial, regulatory and advocacy communications with a focus on building integrated, multistakeholder solutions that deliver results for clients.

Prior to becoming Head of the Americas, Mr. Kennedy was Global Head the Strategic Communications segment’s energy business and Co-Leader of FTI Consulting’s firmwide Energy, Power and Products (“EPP”) practice. Before joining FTI Consultingg, he served in several senior policy and communications staff positions in Congress, including Press Secretary for then-Minority Leader of the U.S. House of Representatives, John A. Boehner (R-OH), Deputy Chief of Staff and Director of Communications for the House Committee on Natural Resources, and chief spokesman for several crisis-related task forces.

Mr. Kennedy’s work has been recognized by the Wall Street Journal, Consulting Magazine, M&A Advisor and the National Journal, among others. He is a Board Member of A Wider Circle and is based in Washington, D.C.
