Akshat Trivedi

Akshat Trivedi is an Associate Partner in the Consumer Products and Retail practice, based in New York City. Akshat has more than 15 years of significant Consumer Products and Retail strategy experience as a trusted advisor to clients across the globe. He brings a broad understanding of the industry with prior experience spanning grocery, apparel and home improvement retail formats, packaged food and beverage go-to-market systems and associated digital commerce channels. Akshat has also assisted clients with carve-outs and divestitures, including large-scale public company spin-offs requiring standing up a new public company, his specific area of focus are in shopper-facing commercial functions.

Mr. Trivedi also has experience in deep merger integration, in both consumer product and retail businesses, driving cost and revenue synergies across public and private companies, and commercial due diligence across mid-market and larger consumer product companies, including beauty products, confections, beverage, food distribution, restaurants and specialty retail. Mr. Trivedi focuses on partnering with management teams post-deal to improve profitability and drive growth for consumer and retail businesses.

Prior to FTI Consulting, Mr. Trivedi was a senior member of the Consumer Products and Retail strategy and transactions group at EY-Parthenon, the strategy consulting business of EY.

Relevant Experience:

• Led the business case development, operational separation and associated operating model design for a divestiture required to enable merger of a national grocery chain
• Assisted management of a global CPG major in designing sales and go-to-market functions to help support the divestiture of an ice cream business
• Helped lead the design and operationalization of profit transformation for a Canadian home improvement retailer, resulting in sale of business to a private equity buyer
• Developed alternative profit pool strategy for a national grocery chain, and grew per store EBITDA by 200 basis points over a year
• Worked with private equity sponsors across several commercial due diligence for consumer beauty, packaged food and consumer service businesses
