About Elizabeth
Elizabeth Adams is a Senior Managing Director and Partner in FTI Consulting’s Strategic Communications segment and is based in London. Elizabeth leads the firm’s Global Energy Transition offering, supporting clients throughout the value chain. Her areas of expertise include corporate reputation and positioning, infrastructure and energy investment, and low- or no-carbon energy technologies, such as wind, solar, battery and hydrogen.
Elizabeth also brings experience in capital markets, financial communications and crisis projects for some of the world’s largest companies. She is skilled in the successful delivery of large, cross-geography, cross-specialism projects with multiple stakeholders, particularly where transition is a feature. This includes within the energy and water sectors, as well as adjacent sectors such as data centres, aviation, fertiliser, data and plastics.
Elizabeth has worked in the global energy sector for more than 20 years. She joined FTI Consulting in 2018 and was formerly a foreign correspondent for Dow Jones Newswires and The Wall Street Journal, spending time in London and Oslo. Previously, she led Financial & Corporate Communications at Canary Wharf Group — London’s biggest regeneration project and home to fintech accelerator Level39. She also led Corporate Affairs for PE-backed UK challenger utility UK Power Reserve, the distributed generation company providing fast ramping, flexible power to the UK electricity grid.
Elizabeth holds a B.Sc. with honours in Geography from the University of Oxford and an M.A. in International Economic Law from the University of London’s School of African and Oriental Studies.
