Moritz Leilich

Moritz Leilich is a Managing Director in FTI Consulting's Corporate Finance segment. Moritz advises companies, lenders, investors and shareholders in stressed and special situations as well as transformation environments, with a particular focus on the real estate and infrastructure sectors.

Moritz’s expertise spans independent business reviews, financial restructurings, refinancing processes, integrated business planning, liquidity management and strategic options analyses. In addition, he has extensive experience advising on complex financing and M&A transactions. Combining deep restructuring expertise with strong sector knowledge, Moritz supports clients in navigating financial challenges, optimizing capital structures and managing complex stakeholder situations.

Mortiz studied Industrial Engineering with a specialisation in Mechanical Engineering at the Technical University of Darmstadt. He also completed an exchange programme at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.

• Advised a listed German real estate company and several project developers on refinancing processes, including the preparation of expert restructuring opinions in accordance with IDW S6
• Prepared an independent project review for an international building technology and engineering company with exposure to data centre and semiconductor projects, focusing on operational performance and financial risk assessment
• Advised a leading international manufacturing company on integrated business planning, scenario analyses and refinancing-related assessments as part of a complex capital structure review
