Alex Haenen

Alex Haenen is a Managing Director at FTI Consulting and supports clients on transactions, mainly through financial due diligence services. Alex is a finance and M&A professional with more than 14 years of experience in buy-side and sell-side due diligence engagements. His experience covers a broad range of industries and clients.

Alex has led more than 80 due diligence engagements, ranging from large, cross-border transactions to small- and medium-sized domestic deals in various sectors, such as business services, consumer markets, financial services, food and agriculture, healthcare, industrial manufacturing, technology, and travel and leisure. Alex has worked for international private equity firms as well as domestic investors and several corporate clients.

Alex is a seasoned transactions specialist focused on addressing the key questions of his clients. He is quick to understand business models and analyses businesses using industry business drivers and industry-specific KPIs. Additionally, Alex is pragmatic and creative and brings broad experience managing high-pressure processes with multiple stakeholders.

• Performed sell-side vendor due diligence on Thoma Assurantiën, an insurance intermediary, for its sale to PIB Group, an international insurance group
• Performed buy-side due diligence for Activpayroll, a UK-based global mobility provider, for its acquisition of LIMES international, a Dutch and Belgian global mobility service provider
• Performed buy-side due diligence for Green Street, a U.S.-based provider of commercial real estate intelligence, on IJGlobal and Locatus, two providers of information related to real estate
