Andrew J. Johnson

Andrew Johnson has more than 20 years of experience providing restructuring and insolvency advice to lenders, clearing banks, investors, shareholders, boards and other stakeholders in stressed and distressed businesses.

Andrew has significant experience leading challenging, multistakeholder engagements, including business and cash flow reviews, liquidity management, operational reviews, options assessment, contingency planning and as required formal insolvency appointments. Andrew often acts as lead financial restructuring adviser to his clients through challenging negotiations.

Andrew has been involved in many complex and challenging projects across a broad range of industries, including life sciences, private finance initiative (“PFI”), construction, healthcare, medical equipment, local authority and government suppliers, hospitality, casual dining, retail and travel and leisure. He also has experience in shopping centres and real estate, managed services and business process outsourcing (“BPO”) businesses, telecom, media and technology (“TMT”), professional practices, manufacturing, food production and processing and financial services.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Andrew worked on the restructuring team of two large national accountancy practices. During this time he spent 15 months seconded to Lloyds Banking Group business support unit.

Andrew is a chartered accountant, a member of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals and a licensed UK insolvency practitioner.
