Andrew Oddie is a Managing Director in FTI Consulting’s Construction, Projects & Assets practice based in Singapore and Hong Kong and working internationally across Asia Pacific.
A Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (“FRICS”) and a practicing Member of the Academy of Experts, Andrew has been appointed as quantum expert (or Expert Determiner) on more than 35 occasions and has given oral evidence on 10 occasions in arbitration and litigation.
Andrew has given evidence in Singapore arbitration proceedings (including under SIAC and ICC rules) and the High Court of Hong Kong, and has been appointed in the High Court of Singapore and the Supreme Court of Western Australia. His appointments cover projects in Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, India, the Middle East, Australia and Africa, spanning the oil and gas, power, rail, infrastructure and building sectors. The project values have reached up to USD9 billion, with disputed sums exceeding USD1 billion. He has extensive experience of the major contract forms used in the region, including FIDIC, SIA, PSSCOC and NEC.
Andrew regularly contributes as a speaker and course trainer for the RICS across the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (“ASEAN”) and has spoken at the Society of Construction Law Philippines and the Philippine Institute of Construction Arbitrators and Mediators.
