Brendan J. Keating

Brendan Keating is FTI Consulting’s Chief Accounting Officer and Controller. In this role, Mr. Keating oversees and manages the accounting function of the Company and its affiliates, including public reporting obligations under Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC") rules and regulations. Previously, Mr. Keating served as Vice President and Assistant Controller at FTI Consulting.

Mr. Keating has over 30 years of experience in the finance and accounting fields, including SEC registration and reporting, accounting policy, international accounting operations, consolidation, internal controls and compliance.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting in 2011, Mr. Keating served as Senior Vice President of Accounting Policy and Reporting at Discovery, where he led Discovery’s SEC registration and the implementation of internal controls over financial reporting to become compliant with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002.

Previous experience includes serving as Vice President and Assistant Controller at The AES Corporation; Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer of MeriStar Hospitality Corporation, which was a New York Stock Exchange-listed REIT until it was acquired by The Blackstone Group; and managing SEC reporting and accounting policy, corporate development and acquisition integration for LCI, International, Inc., which was acquired by Qwest Communications.

Following the acquisition, Mr. Keating stayed on as Assistant Controller of Qwest Communications’ International Division. During his time at Qwest Communications, Mr. Keating was seconded to Qwest Communications’ joint venture with KPN Telecom, where he was the Controller. In this capacity, Mr. Keating led the SEC registration of the dual listing on the NASDAQ and Amsterdam Stock Exchange, established a finance shared service center in the Netherlands, implemented the joint venture’s enterprise resource planning software, and led a team of over 100 finance professionals located across 15 European countries.

Mr. Keating began his career at Coopers & Lybrand, now part of PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he served as a Manager in the Audit practice, serving clients in the high technology, government contracting and real estate industries.

Mr. Keating earned his bachelor’s degree with a concentration in accounting from the University of Maryland.
