Christopher Weiß

Christopher Weiss is a Senior Managing Director in the FTI Consulting Munich Office with more than 10 years of experience in corporate finance and restructuring situations. He brings deep expertise in restructuring, refinancing and carve-out processes.

Christopher specializes in operational and financial restructuring. He develops pragmatic restructuring concepts, drives liquidity management and business planning, and leads complex turnaround projects with a hands-on approach. He is highly experienced in bringing diverse stakeholders to the table and successfully guiding financing negotiations.

Several of his projects have also involved transactional processes (M&A) on both the sell-side and the buy-side, particularly in Carve-Out situations.

Christopher brings cross-industry experience, having advised companies across a wide range of sectors. Most recently, he has been particularly active in the automotive industry.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Christopher worked in the deal advisory practice of an international consulting firm. He is business fluent in German and English and conversational in Norwegian. Christopher holds a Master of Science in Finance and Accounting from Catholic University Eichstaett-Ingolstadt and has also studied at Boston College (MA, USA) and American University (Washington D.C., USA).

• Executed a cross-border refinancing program for an international tier-1 automotive supplier with more than €m 600 revenue, spanning 6 geographies and a refinancing volume > €m 250
• Led the restructuring program of an international tier-1 automotive supplier with EBITDA effects > €m 20
• Definition of a post-close restructuring program of a Carve-Out, covering 6 geographies and identified value creation levers to the extent of €m 25
• Definition of Carve-out strategy for an international energy provider including carve-out financials and disentanglement analysis for subsequent M&A-process
• Definition of a turnaround program for an insolvent industry company and successful M&A-process
• Preparation of several restructuring opinions according to IDW S 6 and BGH
• Led several liquidity planning and cash desk processes
