Cody McGregor

Cody McGregor is a Managing Director in FTI Consulting’s Strategic Communications segment based in Houston, Texas.

Mr. McGregor specializes in strategic communications within the Energy & Natural Resources industry practice, counseling clients on operational response communications, mergers and acquisitions among other corporate transactions , public affairs and corporate positioning.

With more than 15 years of experience across policy, public affairs, political and media relations sectors, Mr. McGregor brings seasoned insight to constructing successful communications strategies, navigating adversity and building coalitions to execute plans that support client objectives.

In addition to handling some of the energy industry’s most contentious and high-profile public affairs engagements, Mr. McGregor has extensive leadership experience in navigating political and legislative processes. He has served as a campaign manager for two statewide races in Texas, worked in the Texas House of Representatives and acted as spokesperson for a national grassroots and advocacy organization.

Mr. McGregor is a veteran of the United States Army where he served in a scout reconnaissance platoon with the 82nd Airborne Division and was deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He attended the University of Texas at Austin where he earned a B.A. in Government with a minor in History. Mr. McGregor currently serves on the advisory board for the Semper Fi and America’s Fund.
