David B. Lerman

David Lerman is a Senior Managing Director in the Forensic & Litigation Consulting segment and is based in Houston. Mr. Lerman is a part of the Disputes Advisory Services practice and has more than 25 years of experience working within and consulting to the energy and chemical industries.

As a Certified Valuation Analyst and a licensed Professional Engineer, Mr. Lerman provides consulting services in the area of economics, valuations, operations, damages quantification consulting and expert witness services. His economic and valuation experience includes estimating royalties, financial damages, lost profits and conclusions of value.

Clients have retained Mr. Lerman for business interruptions, insurance claims, contract disputes, construction disputes, antitrust matters and other commercial disputes. In addition, Mr. Lerman has assisted clients with operational analyses for continuous process operations, supply-chain analyses and transportation and storage analyses. He has testified in matters filed in state and federal court as well as in international arbitrations.

Prior to becoming a consultant, Mr. Lerman spent 11 years at Amoco Corporation, where he held assignments in plant operations, research and development, supply chain planning, capital planning, environmental compliance and profitability improvement. Since Amoco, Mr. Lerman has been a consulting and testifying expert for energy companies, including oil & gas companies, trading companies, pipeline companies, chemical companies and power companies.

Mr. Lerman holds a B.E. in Chemical Engineering, magna cum laude, from the University of Michigan, an M.B.A., (Honors) from the University of Chicago and an M.S.E. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
