Eduardo Parente

Eduardo Parente is a Managing Director in the Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment. Eduardo has extensive experience in financial advisory and interim management for companies navigating turnaround and expansion. He has also led the coordination of asset sales totaling more than BRL1 billion to settle creditor claims during judicial reorganizations.

Since joining FTI Consulting, Eduardo has played key roles in interim management and bankruptcy advisory, assisting companies with debt restructuring, fundraising, treasury management and M&A advisory across sectors such as education, hospitality, aviation and heavy industry. He has led interim management roles across multiple projects, overseeing payment management and cash flow forecasting. Additionally, Eduardo has experience managing fundraising projects for companies, leveraging real estate as collateral and optimizing debt conditions through extended maturities and reduced debt servicing costs.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Eduardo served as Treasury Manager at Grupo Fleury, one of Brazil’s largest healthcare companies, specialized in diagnostics. In this role, he was responsible for finance operations, foreign exchange (“FX”) derivatives and cash flow management, including forecasting and delivering consistently accurate results. He also led several mergers, successfully integrating the finance functions of acquired companies. Preceding Fleury, Eduardo was the Cash and Derivatives Manager at Votorantim Cimentos, where he spearheaded the implementation of a hedging strategy based on multicurrency non-deliverable forwards (“NDFs”) and swaps.

Eduardo speaks Portuguese, Spanish and English.

Relevant Experience:

• Served in an interim management role for a client with more than USD1.8 billion in debt; negotiated with strategic suppliers and helped restore relationships between the client and its key stakeholders, including banks and creditors
• Coordinated asset sales in multiple engagements, overseeing the sale of more than BRL 1 billion in assets to settle creditor claims during a judicial reorganization
• Worked as an advisor to Starbucks International in restructuring its Brazilian operations
