Eric Houle

Eric Houle specializes in advising boards of directors, senior management and key stakeholders across the capital spectrum in complex restructuring and turnaround situations for domestic and multinational businesses. Mr. Houle has nearly 25 years of experience leading high-performance teams across a broad spectrum of finance and operations-related functions. He has advised stakeholders in the industrial manufacturing, food and agriculture, retail services, automotive, consumer services and logistics industries.

Mr. Houle has provided financial advisory services to sponsors and credit providers on buy/hold decisions, covenant defaults and in- and out-of-court restructurings to preserve value and maximize financial outcomes for clients. In addition, Mr. Houle has provided on-site crisis and turnaround management services for boards of directors, executive teams and their capital partners.

Mr. Houle has extensive experience leading and advising clients across a variety of corporate finance functions, including financial planning and analysis (“FP&A”) efforts, liquidity and cash management, business plan development, financial reporting, intercreditor negotiations and operational and functional area turnarounds. Mr. Houle has led senior lender and company/debtor engagements. Mr. Houle has served in interim roles, including Chief Restructuring Officer (“CRO”) and Senior Vice President of Restructuring where he held chief financial officer (“CFO”) responsibilities and as Vice President of Global Corporate Finance, where he was responsible for treasury operations, FP&A and acquisitions.

Mr. Houle has an aggregate of more than 10 years with FTI Consulting and its predecessor, a division of PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Business Recovery Services practice. Mr. Houle also served as Vice President of Corporate Finance for a services business, Vice President of a distressed floating rate debt hedge fund, Vice President of Strategy for a global private equity fund and worked with the U.S. Government abroad. Mr. Houle holds a B.A. in Economics and French from Union College and an M.B.A. from Emory University.

Relevant Experience:

• Served as CRO of an industrial bolting and thermal technologies manufacturer in support of a recapitalization
• Served as Senior Vice President of Restructuring of a global manufacturer of tire fibers and industrial fabric
• Advised on company-side engagements including a $5 billion industrials business with six manufacturing facilities in the United States and Mexico, a $7 billion tier-1 global automotive supplier and a $1 billion retail inventory services provider
• Provided company-side advisory for restructuring engagements including a $100 million multinational steel marketer and logistics provider, a $360 million multinational tier-1 auto parts manufacturer and a $500 million of invested capital in distressed health tech company
• Provided senior lender-side advisory for restructuring engagements including a $300 million travel services provider, a $900 million pallet manufacturer and $200 million of invested capital in distressed health tech company
