Gabriel E. Bresler

Gabriel E. Bresler specializes in corporate restructuring, due diligence and litigation services, as well as strategy and operations consulting in the telecom and media industries. Mr. Bresler has more than 25 years of experience in consulting and providing transaction and restructuring services and has advised clients across a wide range of industries.

Mr. Bresler’s company advisory work has included leading the development and implementation of balance sheet restructuring and operational plans, operational improvement and due diligence and divestiture activities. He has led the work for the Chief Restructuring Officer at Tricom, the Dominican Republic’s second largest telecom operator and largest cable operator, where he also acted as the company’s Principal Operating Officer. Mr. Bresler also has been Restructuring Officer and a Senior Corporate Officer at GSI Group, a technology company with more than a dozen operating divisions worldwide.

Mr. Bresler has led or co-led transactions in both in- and out-of-court proceedings, representing different stakeholder groups at large and global organizations, including Global Crossing, Genuity, Enterasys, Exodus Communications, Spansion, CTC, KMC, ATX, Xspedius, Qwest, Winstar, Regent Broadcasting and Citadel Communications. In most situations, he has worked closely with management to develop and implement value-maximization strategies. Related services rendered have included development and review of business plans, management of operations, competitive benchmarking and renegotiation of credit facilities. 

Further, Mr. Bresler has worked extensively on cross-border and emerging market transactions with key companies such as CTI and Nextel in Argentina; Embratel, BCP Comunicacoes, Nextel and Brasil Telecom in Brazil; AES Energy in several Latin American countries; Bell South in Colombia; Vitro, Iusacell, Nemak, URBI and Telereunion in Mexico; A&E in Chile; and Reach Communications in Hong Kong.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Bresler was a Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Before that, he was a Consulting Partner at MAC Group/Gemini Consulting in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
