Hein Coops

Hein Coops is a Managing Director in FTI Consulting’s Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment. Hein has been involved in financial restructurings, onsite CFO advisory roles, complex stakeholder management and carve-out M&A transactions.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Hein worked in RBS’ Restructuring team until 2014, where he was involved in the restructuring, negotiation and execution of complex distressed lending across the European continent. He served on the M&A deal execution team at ABN AMRO. He started his career with Loyens&Loeff in their international corporate tax law practice.

Hein has more than 10 years of experience handling operational and financial restructurings in complex, multistakeholder situations, both as an advisor and as acting Chief Restructuring Officer (“CRO”) or Chief Turnaround Officer (“CTO”). In complex turnaround situations, Hein is a valued and trusted advisor, building on both his legal and financial background. He has extensive experience in strategic options analysis and leading international operational and financial restructuring.

Hein specialises in “hands-on” restructuring advisory and execution. Over the last few years, he was actively involved in the implementation of financial and operational restructuring and transformation of multiple clients, acting as statutory CRO or CTO.
