Isabel Han

Isabel Han is a Managing Director in the Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment and is based in Hong Kong. Ms. Han has more than 13 years of practical experience in corporate restructuring, financial reviews, distressed M&A and audit assurance. She serves as a restructuring advisor, evaluating companies’ financial situations and developing and implementing corporate restructuring and refinancing plans for a wide range of clients, including both onshore and offshore corporations and financial institutions.

For financial institutions, Ms. Han formulates debt recovery plans, advises on restructuring terms, analyzes potential options for lenders and implements these plans and enforcement actions. For corporates, she assesses companies’ ability to service debt obligations, formulates restructuring plans and estimates recoveries to support discussions and negotiations with lenders.

Ms. Han’s restructuring experience spans Hong Kong, the People's Republic of China (“PRC”), North America, the British Virgin Islands (“BVI”) and the Cayman Islands, with clients primarily in real estate, manufacturing, mining, new energy and financial services.

Ms. Han is a Chartered Financial Analyst (“CFA”), a Certified Public Accountant (“CPA”) and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Additionally, she currently serves as Co-Chair of Communications to the International Women's Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation — Hong Kong Network (“IWIRC HK”).

Relevant Experience:

• Advised bank creditors in several Hong Kong listed real estate companies
• Led receivership engagements in Hong Kong; involved taking possession and disposal of collaterals including residential and commercial buildings
• Led liquidation analysis for several restructuring exercises involving Hong Kong listed real estate companies
• Facilitated the restructuring and resumption of a Hong Kong listed company under provisional liquidation through a business revitalization plan and scheme of arrangement
