Jeremy M. McGannon

Jeremy McGannon is a Senior Managing Director in the Forensic & Litigation Consulting segment and is based in Chicago. A member of the Risk & Investigations practice, Mr. McGannon specializes in forensic accounting matters, including investigations and flow of funds analyses, and post-merger and acquisition disputes.

Mr. McGannon leads financial investigations into alleged asset misappropriation, often involving flow of funds and asset tracing, and alleged financial misstatement fraud, often encompassing an investigation into a company’s accounting practices. Mr. McGannon leads complex flow of funds analyses, comprising of the examination of bank statements, wire transaction records, and other financial information to recreate and demonstrate a complex movement of funds between individuals and companies, both domestically and internationally.

Mr. McGannon also has significant experience in post-acquisition disputes and other commercial damages matters. He provides expert consulting on matters involving whether certain financial statements were prepared in accordance with U.S. GAAP, and on matters such as working capital calculations, earnouts, and other financial statement misrepresentation claims. Mr. McGannon conducts complex damage and valuation analyses resulting from alleged fraud, alleged breaches of certain representations and warranties provided in a stock or asset purchase agreement, and other breach of contract claims.

Mr. McGannon graduated from the University of Missouri with a Master of Accountancy and a Minor in Spanish. In 2016, Mr. McGannon was a recipient of the AICPA’s Standing Ovation Award, recognizing 25 CPAs age 40 and under for contributions to the areas of forensic accounting and business valuation.

Mr. McGannon is a Certified Public Accountant (“CPA”), Accredited in Business Valuation (“ABV”) and is Certified in Financial Forensics (“CFF”). He has testified as an expert witness on forensic accounting matters.
