Kara Mendoza

Kara Mendoza is an experienced valuation practitioner providing expert assessments to facilitate decision-making in both contentious and noncontentious contexts. Ms. Mendoza has served clients across industries including fintech, healthcare, oil and gas, private equity, real estate and technology.

Ms. Mendoza has assisted in drafting expert reports for submission in Hong Kong, Cayman Islands and British Virgin Island courts, as well as in international arbitrations. Her areas of expertise in these matters include shareholder disputes, breach of contract and lost profits.

Ms. Mendoza has also worked on financial modelling for M&A and management planning, restructuring and financial reporting. Her experience includes the valuation of businesses, private equity, preferred shares, share options and convertible bonds.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Ms. Mendoza worked in the valuation and modelling team at a Big Four accounting firm. In addition to providing valuation services in this role, she also served as the internal fair value specialist in interim and annual audit procedures.
