Kauê Gobbi

Kauê Gobbi is a Director in FTI Consulting’s Forensic & Litigation Consulting segment. Kauê supports both national and international clients on anti-corruption regulations and disputes. His expertise includes investigative due diligence, pre- and post-acquisition disputes, risk assessments as well as asset tracing and recovery.

As a research specialist, Kauê has led and managed numerous due diligence investigations and asset searches across diverse industry sectors, both nationally and internationally. His experience includes handling complex investigations related to allegations of fraud, corruption, money laundering, bid-rigging, conflicts of interest, asset concealment and other regulatory issues.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Kauê worked for several years in compliance and investigations at Kroll. He has also collaborated with non-governmental organizations, including the United Nations Population Fund (“UNFPA”), in the United States and Europe, providing political and economic analysis. Additionally, Kauê has assisted the Michigan House of Representatives with the development of public policies.

Kauê speaks Portuguese, English and Spanish.

Relevant Experience:

• Led a complex international asset search and tracing of Politically Exposed Persons (“PEPs”) and state-owned companies in an African country; the investigation spanned 10 countries and involved coordination with offices in Europe, Africa and Latin America
• Coordinated a complex investigation into allegations of money laundering and conflict of interest at a large energy company in Brazil, following a complaint filed by the Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office (the MPF); the investigation was conducted in collaboration with top law firms in Brazil and abroad
• Managed several pre- and post-acquisition risk assessments for large investment companies in the United States, and prepared pre-hiring due diligence reports for candidates seeking C-level positions in large companies both in Brazil and internationally
