Lee Baker

Lee Baker is a planner and delay analyst with extensive international expertise, gained over the last 20 years. He is recognised in Who’s Who Legal’s premium list as one of the world’s leading International Arbitration Expert Witnesses. Mr. Baker trained as a construction planner and now provides clients with comprehensive planning, delay analysis and project risk management solutions for a wide range of sectors within the construction industry.

Mr. Baker has been appointed to prepare expert reports and regularly advises clients on dispute avoidance and resolution. He has extensive international experience with high-value mega-projects across a wide range of industry sectors. These include power generation, aviation, rail, high-rise buildings, oil and gas, prestige retail, and commercial developments.

Mr. Baker’s geographical experience includes projects located in China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mozambique, Pakistan, Qatar, Republic of Ireland, Russia, SAR Hong Kong, Singapore, South Africa, United Arab Emirates and United Kingdom.

Mr. Baker is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) and has published articles on planning risk and BIM implementation: “Project Finance: Construction risk”, published in The Journal of the Chartered Institute of Civil Engineering Surveyors, September 2016; and “Building Virtually for Eternity: Contractual Considerations for the BIM Environment”, published in Who’s Who Legal, August 2017.

Mr. Baker regularly speaks at seminars and conferences, which has included the CIArb and Society of Construction Law (SCL) conferences. He also designed and delivered training programmes for the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) throughout Asia and the Building and Construction Authority in Singapore.
