Michael Reinertshofer

Michael Reinertshofer is a Managing Director in the Economic & Financial Consulting segment and is based in Frankfurt. Mr. Reinertshofer has more than 10 years of experience in the valuation of businesses and intellectual property, as well as in the quantification of damages in the context of legal disputes.

Mr. Reinertshofer advises domestic and international clients across a wide range of industries on complex valuation matters — particularly in the context of transactions, restructurings and carve-outs, as well as corporate law actions such as squeeze-outs and domination and profit and loss transfer agreements (“DPLTA”). His work also includes valuations for tax purposes in accordance with the German IDW S1 valuation standard, valuations of intangible assets for tax-related matters and the preparation of fairness opinions. A particular focus of his practice is the valuation of companies in restructuring situations.

Mr. Reinertshofer has extensive experience preparing expert reports and supporting clients and their legal advisors throughout all stages of dispute proceedings — from strategic preparation through to court or arbitration proceedings. Prior to joining FTI Consulting, he worked in the valuation practice of an international consulting firm and at a Big Four audit firm.
