Mitchel S. Harris

Mitch Harris is a strategic healthcare leader with more than 30 years of experience driving strategy through execution for over 50 of the nation’s largest health plans, pharmacy benefit managers (“PBMs”) and health systems. Mr. Harris helps clients solve their toughest operational and regulatory challenges by leveraging data to precisely pinpoint root causes, break down pain points and strategically augment legacy systems with innovative automation and AI. He has served as a trusted advisor to C-suite and operational leaders, consistently delivering breakthrough cost savings and performance gains and achieving recognition for his strategic vision, crisis navigation and seamless execution.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Harris led the sale and delivery of strategic client engagements as a partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers’ health industries advisory practice. In this role, he developed innovative compliance and operational solutions generating more than $850 million in measurable client savings. He also served as a lead partner in PwC’s national health services payer risk and regulatory practice. Additionally, Mr. Harris helped design, deploy and drive sales of new health plan capabilities, leveraging automation, AI and advanced analytics to drive 20%–50% operational efficiency gains and more than $450 million in cost savings. His experience with back-office operations recovery initiatives have resulted in rapidly restoring compliance, eliminating noncompliant inventory and achieving 100% case compliance.

Preceding PwC, Mr. Harris held roles of increasing responsibility at Health Industries Advisory, where he led business development and operational strategy for the company’s national health plan compliance and regulatory practice. His early career includes experience at Caremore Medical Management Company (now Carelon) and Blue Shield of California.
