Pat McLay

Pat McLay advises CFOs in navigating the accounting and commercial impacts of significant change events. This includes mergers and acquisitions, capital transactions, periods of rapid growth, leadership changes, major projects, year-end processes, audits, compliance and governance matters, as well as IT or broader commercial transformations. Prior to focusing on advisory work, Pat spent 10 years as a signing audit partner.

Pat has more than 30 years’ professional experience providing accounting, consulting, transaction, dispute, external and internal audit services in Australia and the UK. In addition to his client responsibilities, he has held leadership roles in business unit management, markets, innovation and knowledge management.

Pat is a Chartered Accountant in both Australia and Scotland and is a Registered Company Auditor by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (‘ASIC’). Before joining FTI Consulting, he led the accounting advisory practice for Oceania at a Big Four firm, where he established a team of more than 100 professionals.
