Peter Dumas

Peter Dumas has more than 35 years of asset-based lending (“ABL”) experience in a variety of industries, including automotive, healthcare, distribution, manufacturing and mining. Mr. Dumas is primarily focused on the large bank syndicated ABL market and has worked regularly with bank transactors and outside counsel regarding credit agreement language and transaction structuring.

Mr. Dumas has experience spanning more than four hundred engagements, with transaction sizes ranging up to $2 billion. His experience includes analysis of collateral pools located in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia.

Mr. Dumas has performed the initial due diligence of ABL and securitization borrowers’ potential collateral and identification of ineligible assets. He also has provided monitoring services, including analyzing monthly reports and identifying ineligible transactions that were not specified in loan documents.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Dumas was a director with Citibank in its asset-based and transitional finance department. In that role, he guided ABL bankers and risk managers on important transaction points, participated in deal approvals, engaged third-party due diligence and asset appraisal teams, worked with external bank examiners and led the collateral monitoring efforts for the ABL portfolio.
