Ross Towler

Ross Towler is a Managing Director in FTI Consulting’s Forensic & Litigation Consulting segment. Ross specialises in the forensic analysis of delays in construction projects, entitlement to extensions of time and provides expert witness services in dispute resolution proceedings.

Ross has 18 years of experience in the construction industry and has participated in the management and delivery of some of the largest and most complex building and civil engineering projects both in the UK and overseas. He worked for a top-tier UK main-contractor and a leading global consultancy practice. Ross’ expert experience spans a broad-spectrum of sectors including commercial, residential (including high-rise), retail, leisure and entertainment, mixed-use, technology, communication (including data centres), infrastructure (road/ bridges/ tunnels), energy, healthcare (hospitals), industrial and defence. He has been instructed as an independent delay expert in litigation, arbitration and adjudication proceedings.

Ross’ expertise covers every stage of the construction process, from feasibility and design to procurement, manufacturing, construction, commissioning and completion. He has worked with a range of procurement methods and contracts, including new engineering contracts, joint contracts tribunal contracts, International Federation of Consulting Engineers contracts, as well as bespoke agreements.

Ross is a proponent of technological and data-analytics in the analysis of construction project delays. This increases the capacity to assess large amounts of data and in-turn provides a broader and more robust investigation as the basis for expert opinion.

Ross is a dual-qualified Chartered Civil Engineer (“C.Eng.”). He holds a degree in Law from BPP University Law School.
