Sergio Alonso

Sergio Alonso is a Managing Director at FTI Consulting. Sergio focuses on corporate finance and, more specifically, on special situations and restructuring. He has advised clients across a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, construction, oil and gas, energy, retail and consumer goods.

Sergio has 13 years of experience in restructuring, consultancy and private equity (“PE”). He has executed and advised small and mid-cap PE transactions in Spain, and worked on financial due diligence, strategic decision-making and consulting projects.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Sergio worked as a vice president on the investment team of Sherpa Capital, a small- and mid-cap Spanish PE fund focused on special situation investing; as an associate on the investment team of MBO Partenaires, a French PE firm focused on mid-market; and as associate at Accuracy. Before that, he worked in different positions at a family-owned business in Spain.

Sergio holds an M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and École Centrale Paris. He is fluent in Spanish, English and French.
