Silke Burzle-Brayley

Silke Burzle-Brayley serves as Chief Risk and Compliance Officer for FTI Consulting. Ms. Burzle-Brayley works closely with senior leadership to strengthen FTI Consulting’s risk culture, promote ethical decision-making and support consistent compliance standards across jurisdictions while adopting a risk-based approach.

Ms. Burzle-Brayley brings extensive experience advising professional services organizations on complex, cross-border risk and compliance matters. She joined FTI Consulting in 2021 to lead the risk and compliance function for FTI Consulting’s Europe, Middle East and Africa (“EMEA”) region. She has led a number of transformative projects and operationalized a number of new laws and regulations in the EMEA region, ensuring that FTI Consulting continues to adhere to legal, regulatory and industry standards.

Before joining FTI Consulting, Ms. Burzle-Brayley spent a decade working for large international law firms, occupying positions of increasing seniority and responsibility. During this time, she set up a new team dedicated to the negotiation of client contracts and management of client audits, adopted new systems with machine learning capabilities, gained detailed knowledge of sanctions, anti-money laundering, privacy laws and cybersecurity standards, and dealt with numerous conflicts of interest situations that required careful analysis.

Ms. Burzle-Brayley earned a Bachelor of Law and a Master of Law from the University of Fribourg in Fribourg, Switzerland.
