In December 2025, Hogan Lovells and Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP announced a landmark combination that would bring together two highly regarded law firms with complementary strengths in global finance, regulatory, disputes and transactional capabilities. Given the scale, complexity and cross-border nature of the merger, Hogan Lovells leadership engaged FTI Consulting to ensure a focused integration approach to align priorities and reduce operational disruption.

The combined annual revenue of the merged firms was $3.9 billion, with more than 3100 lawyers in 38 offices across 18 countries, making it the largest law firm merger in history.

FTI Consulting deployed a uniquely tailored Day 1 readiness roadmap, alongside a critical path planning approach to align stakeholders, identify risks and drive cross-functional accountability to smooth the transition to Hogan Lovells Cadwalader.
