He has notably led and supported commercial negotiations for numerous energy and infrastructure long-term contracts (such as Power Purchase Agreements, Gas/LNG supply agreements, Tenders, and Concession agreements), analysing prices and flexibilities, payments terms, risk-sharing and operational issues for engagements exceeding USD 100bn combined.

He has designed legal and contractual arrangements for regulators, assessed various regulatory options for regulated companies, as well as supported market participants in their regulatory applications.
Leveraging his expertise in supporting commercial and regulatory decisions, Mr. Grand has intervened as party - or tribunal - appointed independent expert on energy disputes over claims worth up to USD 2bn. He has delivered testimonies as a quantum and industry expert in more than 20 disputes, before national courts and arbitral tribunals under the rules of the International Chamber of Commerce, the London Court of International Arbitration, the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague, the OHADA Common Court of Justice & Arbitration, as well as ad hoc arbitrations.
