Marc Zimmerman

Marc Zimmerman is Senior Advisor with the Global Insurance Services practice. He has more than 40 years of senior leadership experience in data and analytics, investment accounting technology and IT and business advisory with multiple leading technology and consulting firms.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Zimmerman was a Senior Executive at ClearPrism LLC, a boutique consultancy and partner of FTI Consulting, focused extensively on supporting the insight, M&A due diligence and transformation needs of insurance industry clients across multiple domains, including claims fraud, IT due diligence, financial Enterprise Resource Planning ("ERP") and market growth. Additionally, Mr. Zimmerman previously served as the global head of analytics propositions for Deloitte Consulting's Financial Services practice, working directly with clients, including a Global Top 20 P&C Insurer, to develop and implement enterprise data management and analytics strategies. He also collaborated on the design and execution of programs that enable insurers to evaluate potential InsurTech investments.

Before joining Deloitte, Mr. Zimmerman served as the Global Head of Capgemini Financial Services' Business Information Management practice. In this role, he successfully led the transformation of the business into a recognized data strategy and execution market leader, building a team of 1,500 professionals worldwide and serving institutional clients in more than 20 countries.

Mr. Zimmerman’s earlier career also included a senior global leadership role within the financial services practice of Unisys Corporation, with a significant focus on building and deploying next-generation policy administration solutions for life and pension and P&C insurers. Additionally, he co-founded and led strategic marketing and sales for Princeton Financial Systems and performed a similar role as a senior vice president at SS&C Technologies, both leading insurance sector investment accounting and portfolio management technology companies.

Over the years, Mr. Zimmerman has delivered keynotes, served as a panel speaker at many data and analytics industry events in North America and the UK and has previously co-published two papers on the role of the Chief Data Officer in financial services. Early in his career, Mr. Zimmerman engaged in the private practice of corporate and commercial law in New Jersey.
