Nathalie Baker

Nathalie Baker is the Principal Data Scientist for Europe, the Middle East and Africa in the Data & Analytics practice at FTI Consulting. Nathalie has extensive experience building robust machine learning solutions for clients, particularly in the litigation space.

During her time at FTI Consulting, Nathalie has led and delivered a range of major projects, including applications of natural language processing, generative AI and forecasting. She has more than six years of experience implementing and fine-tuning large language models (‘LLMs’). Her extensive involvement in litigation cases has made her a trusted advisor, providing valuable insights from structured data and identifying statistical and economic inconsistencies in expert reports. Additionally, Nathalie has conducted various AI assessments of third-party machine learning pipelines to ensure robustness, adherence to best practices and technical alignment with regulations.

Prior to FTI Consulting, Nathalie gained experience in data consulting, economic consulting and software development. This includes experience with software release lifecycles, data engineering and extract, transform and load (‘ETL’) and econometrics.
