Shawn O’Donnell

Shawn O’Donnell serves as the Leader of the Telecom, Media & Technology (“TMT”) sector. He specializes in performance improvement, restructuring and investing. Mr. O’Donnell has more than 25 years of experience and has provided advisory services to companies, investors and lenders in connection with telecommunications, cable, PC equipment and network equipment sectors.

Mr. O’Donnell has served as Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Principal On-site Operating Executive on multiple restructuring engagements in the telecommunications, cable and call center sectors. He has also performed due diligence reviews, marketing evaluations, operational assessments and performance improvement advisory services for a broad range of companies, lenders and investors in the telecommunications, cable and technology sectors.

A representative list of client engagements in which Mr. O’Donnell was appointed as an Executive Officer includes serving as Chief Executive Officer of Caribbean Asset Holdings, a community access television and rural local exchange carrier; Chief Operating Officer of PacWest, a competitive local exchange carrier (“CLEC”); and Chief Executive Officer of Voxpath, a hosted internet protocol private branch exchange manufacturer. Mr. O’Donnell was also the On-site Operations Restructuring Executive in the Chapter 11 restructurings of Allegiance Telecom, a CLEC; RCN, a cable over-builder; and PRC, a provider of outsourced call centers. Mr. O’Donnell currently serves on the Board of Alaska Communications, a facilities-based telecommunication services provider, and has served on the boards of several technology companies, including Lumos Networks, Shared Technologies, Arbinet, Mobile Satellite Ventures and Terrestar.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. O’Donnell was President and Chief Executive Officer of Primus Telecommunications Group’s International Carrier Services Division. From 2008 to 2011, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of NASDAQ-traded Arbinet, a provider of international telecommunications services. His earlier career included serving as Chief Operating Officer of CTA, a management consulting firm; Executive Vice President of Network Services at Pathnet, a facilities-based telecommunications service provider; and Chief Restructuring Officer (“CRO”), Arcserve, leading liquidity assessment, business plan pressure-testing, and company-wide restructuring, driving cost takeout and defining strategic paths including sale, stabilization, and portfolio actions.
