About James
James Goodyear specializes in turnaround and financial restructuring with a focus on company-side bankruptcy advisory. Mr. Goodyear has advised troubled and insolvent companies and various creditor constituencies for nearly a decade. His industry experience includes exploration and production (“E&P”), shipping, mining, engineering and construction (“E&C”), healthcare, retail, mortgage servicing and manufacturing, among others.
Mr. Goodyear has significant experience advising companies preparing for bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings and guiding debtors through the various post-petition regulatory requirements in bankruptcy, as well as business plan creation and due diligence, cash flow forecasting, claims reconciliation and stakeholder communications development and management.
Mr. Goodyear’s notable engagements include EP Energy, PetroQuest Energy, OneWeb Global, Brinks Home Security and Francesca’s. He has also advised Altera Infrastructure, Reverse Mortgage Investment Trust, Boxed and Proterra.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Goodyear worked in the public sector where he did strategic planning, business development and performance improvement.
