Hein Coops

Hein Coops is a Managing Director in FTI Consulting’s Corporate Finance segment. Hein has been involved in financial restructurings, CFO advisory roles, complex stakeholder management and carve-out M&A transactions.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Hein worked in RBS’ Restructuring team until 2014, where he was involved in the restructuring, negotiation and execution of complex distressed lending across the European continent. He served on the M&A deal execution team at ABN AMRO. He started his career with Loyens&Loeff in their international corporate tax law practice.

Hein has more than 10 years of experience handling operational and financial restructurings in multistakeholder situations as an advisor, statutory director and as acting Chief Restructuring Officer or Chief Turnaround Officer. In complex turnaround situations, Hein is a valued and trusted advisor, building on both his legal and financial background. He has extensive experience in strategic options analysis and leading international operational and financial restructurings.
